In 2004 when Hurricane Ivan struck the Gulf Coast of Alabama, staff was on hand to prepare and serve meals to 50,000 linemen who converged on the area from across the nation and Canada to restore power. A Social Affair staff worked 18 to 20 hours each day, served up to 750,000 eggs and processed 101,000 pounds of food.
